Petros Nikakis is a graduate of the Economics Department of the Law School of the Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds a MBA from Hellenic Management Association (E.E.D.E). He joined National Bank of Greece in 1982 and until 2007 he served both in the Branch Network and in different Administration Divisions of the Bank (i.e. Accounting, Business Processes, Credits and Network Operations). During the period 2006-2008 he participated in due diligences of several Banks abroad, as the Head of the Branch Network Evaluation Team and as the Rapporteur accountable for submitting the related proposals to the Bank’s Management. Since 2008 he has been serving in the National Bank Group Human Resources Division and currently he occupies the position of the Deputy Manager, being responsible for the performance evaluation of the NBG staff. He is married and has one child.
